Black and white portrait of a VFX-Supervisor Karsten "Kaschi" Falk.

VITA

I started out as an audio engineer, but over 20 years ago I realized that playing around with moving pictures is way more exciting.

This is how I learned every step involved in creating a film from the scratch: from the initial idea to the final broadcast copy.

I edited commercials and music videos as an editor, conjured the best out of every image as an online artist, and created visual worlds for well-known brands such as Nivea, Head&Shoulders and McDonald's as a director and/or creative director.

This is how I gained experience in visual worlds for clients such as Lindt, Ferrero, Braun, Skoda, VW and many more (feel free to double-check my showreel).

But besides all the name dropping and wild creations, I believe above all that it is important that we only function well as a team. This will lead to the best results in the most efficient way. And that there is a need for the one anchor that knows at the beginning what will happen at the end, holding everything together.

That's me.

P.S. I like to keep my projects together with Flame or Resolve, I create concepts and director's interpretations with Adobe's Creative Suite, and I prefer to do my editing in Resolve, but also in Avid or Premiere. And as the cherry on top, I also have a few great Excel templates ready to go.
